Taking a successful operating project as an example, discusses the design process, method and points for attention of ground-source heat pump in detail. According to the annual energy consumption simulation results, presents the operation strategy of the cooling tower, balances the buried pipes’ heat absorption and discharge. In order to ensure the efficient operation of the system, conducts a field survey on rock-soil structure and heat response characteristics, and concludes the actual heat transfer performance under summer and winter conditions. Adopts the heat pump unit combined with cooling tower as the cold and heat source and calculates the closed cooling tower capacity by the single unit capacity. The measured data after the completion of the project proves the high efficiency and energy saving of this system.
